Jiawei Li is a junior at Brandeis University, majoring in economics and minoring in legal studies. He is from Shanghai, China, where his academic interests began to take shape around the intersection of economics, law, and global trade. Jiawei previously interned with the customs group of a law firm in Shanghai, where he gained hands-on experience working on cross-border cases and customs-related matters. He has a solid understanding of how legal frameworks and economic policy interact in international contexts. Also, Jiawei is an avid athlete who enjoys playing tennis and ultimate frisbee, and he is also a dedicated sports fan who follows major sporting events. Combining his academic focus with his extracurricular passions, Jiawei hopes to attend law school in the future and pursue a career as an international lawyer.
