Ann Marie Sawires joined MLRI in September 2025 as a member of the OVC Corps. Her background as a Coptic Egyptian America has shaped her passion for supporting underserved and marginalized groups. Ann earned her BS in Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is now pursuing her MS in Medical Sciences at Boston University. She has worked with refugee, disability, and faith-based communities and cares deeply about supporting initiatives furthering equity in healthcare. Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, Ann loves all things music and swimming in her free time
